It’s 7:30 pm on 10.24.15 and the show was already packed. An eclectic mix of folks always seem to come out to S.A.F. events. Celebrating the release of the Fall/Winter S.A.F. collection we decided to throw a show with some favorite local bands at the place that helped us launch the brand. The venue was at Motorheads, a bar just south of Atlanta.
The first band, The Kleptones went on at 9 pm. It’s my second time seeing them and they have a great vibe. They just seem happy to be there basking in the sonic waves and lights. They blasted through their set playing their version of Cali punk. Mainly originals but also including a Misfits song. At 10 pm Pearl Bottom Radio hit the stage. I’m kind of biased to that band because I play guitar for them. We fall right into the “Southern Rock” box. I don’t know if people like us but we had a great time. We also shot a live video for our new cd coming out called “Holy Moly“. Then hometown favorites Dogwood Daze got it cracking. Moonshine is almost prerequisite to party with these guys. A true work hard, play hard group of guys who’s music really reflects their way of life.
Then the time had come… Beitthemeans were up and running. Best band in the south. Flawless execution playing everything you wanted to hear. Everything you wanted to sing along with and all you needed to drink to. All the bands and S.A.F. supporters brought the heat to this one. Can’t wait to do it again.
